In this 16-lesson course, students are guided through reading and writing typical scenarios in day to day life, and taught bangla words/phrases that fit those contexts. Students will learn simple conversations in some of the following scenarios – shopping, health, travelling, etc. Some common student profiles for this class are adults who spent a large part of their childhood abroad, non-Bangalis planning to visit/live in Bangladesh, etc.

You'll be Able to
Comfortably read simple stories, articles, and day-to-day texts in Bangla
Write short essays or paragraphs using basic vocabulary and sentence structures
Use Bangla in practical everyday situations, such as shopping, visiting the doctor, or navigating while traveling
Engage in simple, context-based conversations using relevant phrases and vocabulary
Demonstrate improved reading fluency and comprehension in familiar scenarios
Who Is This For?
- Has basic familiarity with most (if not all) Bangla letters
- Is looking to improve fluency through regular practice
- Can attend at least one class per week
- Can spend at least one hour/week outside class on homework
- Is curious and asks questions to deepen understanding
- Has a supportive home environment to reinforce learning
- Has access to a tablet or laptop for taking classes
